How to Monitor Resource Usage (CPU, RAM, Bandwidth) ?

Step 1: Log in to cPanel or WHM

Access your cPanel via https://yourdomain.com:2083 or WHM via https://your_server_ip:2087 and log in using your account credentials.

Step 2: Navigate to Resource Usage Tools

In WHM, search for Server Status and select Server Information to view overall server resource usage. In cPanel, scroll to the Metrics section and open CPU and Concurrent Connection Usage.

Step 3: Check CPU Usage

The CPU Usage tool displays how much processor power your account is consuming. High CPU usage can slow down your website. Identify processes consuming excessive CPU and optimize them if needed.

Step 4: Monitor RAM Usage

Check memory (RAM) consumption using WHM’s Server Information or cPanel’s Resource Usage tool. Ensure your website is within its memory limits to avoid downtime or errors.

Step 5: Track Bandwidth

In cPanel, open Bandwidth under the Metrics section to see data usage trends. You can view daily, weekly, and monthly bandwidth consumption for your domains. This helps prevent overage charges and plan upgrades.

Step 6: Set Up Alerts (Optional)

WHM allows you to configure resource usage alerts. Go to Server Contacts > Contact Manager to receive notifications when CPU, RAM, or disk usage exceeds limits.

Step 7: Optimize Resource Usage

• Remove unused plugins or scripts.
• Upgrade hosting plan if consistently hitting resource limits.
• Monitor traffic spikes and adjust website caching accordingly.
